Verse of the Day: Desperation

By bargeria

If you’re joining us for our “Leading Worship” studies, here’s your first Daily Verse.  This week’s theme was desperation.  So meditate on this verse and listen for what God may have to say to you.

Ephesians 5:11
Don’t waste your time on useless work, mere busywork, the barren pursuits of darkness. Expose these things for the sham they are. It’s a scandal when people waste their lives on things they must do in the darkness where no one will see. Rip the cover off those frauds and see how attractive they look in the light of Christ. Wake up from your sleep, Climb out of your coffins; Christ will show you the light! So watch your step. Use your head. Make the most of every chance you get. These are desperate times!

If you’ve got an insight, share it!

  1. Julie says:

Our business may not seem to be a bad thing but, is it what God has for us today or, what “we want to do for Him”? If that is the case we will most likely miss the things He has planned for us and we will miss our chance to reflect and glorify Him.

  2. Keith Barger says:

When we expose the sins and dark deeds to which we cling to the light of Christ – Do they still hold the attraction that they do in the dark?

Keep His light on. Don't give the dark a chance!
